Dear Kiddo #2

What an exciting weekend you have had with your Grammy, Uncle and Aunt. You have been given so much fun and attention that I don't know what I am gonna do with you when it's just the two of us again! You make me so proud when you are so well behaved around everybody, even with the twos coming right around the corner. I will say this many times in your life, but where has the time gone? I was cradling you in my arms, and you still fit, just yesterday it seems. Now, I hold you in my arms and lap with limbs dangling everywhere! I have realized that no amount of words or outside experience can prepare a mother for the absolute heart filling joy of seeing her baby grow into a giggly, smiley, running, jumping, climbing, talking and singing toddler.
Today you sang about 3/4 of your ABC song to yourself as you were playing, including the ending with a cheer for yourself after you were done. I am still dumbfounded..absolutely dumbfounded. This came with no prompting from Mommy or anything. How amazing that you absorb so much around you to use in your own way and your own time.
Sweetheart, I am amazed by you, every morning, every day and every night when I sneak into your room to watch your precious sleeping face. Thank you for choosing me to be your mommy.
